I’m back in Toronto and setting up work at the Living Arts Centre this week for the exhibition Strung Out and Undone which is a part of the World of Threads Festival.
A Handmade Assembly is happening this weekend October 22-25, 2014 in Sackville, NB!
My work has been published in this book TextileArt Around The World!
From September 22nd to October 26th I’ll be here in Sackville, New Brunswick doing an Open Studio Residency at Struts Gallery.
I’m excited to announce that Black Cloud will be included in this year’s exhibition at Cambridge Galleries! The show runs from September 2nd to November 2nd and will showcase 24 Canadian artists working in fibre.
This week I was installing my work in an empty storefront window in Warkworth, Ontario as a part of “Sunday Drive Projects”. It was great to see “Stand-In For Home” and a portion of the “Living Room” piece in such a different context.
I was delighted to be included in an exhibition curated by fellow Harbourfront textile studio artist-in-residence Marianne Burlew at Red Head Gallery. The premise of the show was interesting- a series of collaborations between Burlew and 12 artists whose work inspires a physical response. Burlew encased pieces in plastic and then filled the forms with air.
These hands will be finished in the next few days and then shipped to the Fuller Craft Museum: to be part of the “Game Changers: Fiber Art Masters and Innovators” exhibition that runs from July 5th to November 23, 2014.
Today I packed up my studio at Tyler School of Art and headed back home to Toronto.
Here are some pictures from my studio this week!
It’s happening! My thesis exhibition Flux is now open at Temple Contemporary!
This week was spent installing at Temple Contemporary.
I’ve been taking pictures of my studio floor lately. Here are some of them as I work toward my thesis exhibition at Tyler School of Art.
I’m excited to announce that my piece Living Room will be included in the exhibition Fail-Safe: Discomforts Close to Home.
