Over the past month I have been participating in the Open Studio Residency at Struts Gallery in Sackville, NB. The last weekend of my stay here I will be participating in A Handmade Assembly.
Organized collaboratively by Struts Gallery & Faucet Media Arts Centre and the Owens Art Gallery, Mount Allison University, A Handmade Assembly invites artists, curators to lead discussions, facilitate workshops, initiate projects, open exhibitions, and share in a common thread, the handmade.
I’ll be one of the members for the round table discussion with Ray Fenwick, David Hoffos, and Kara Stone. Along with that, I’ll be doing an artist talk and I’ll be hosting an embroidery workshop. I’m also really excited to be taking a workshop with Christine Kim and Kaeli Cook. You can find the schedule for all the events here.
