Exhibition: Flux @ Temple Contemporary

Exhibition: Flux @ Temple Contemporary

For the past two years I have switched gears, moving away from embroidery and trying some new ways of making.  Still thinking of my work as an attempt to draw in space, I have been making installations and objects by folding, cutting, coating and stacking different types of materials.   I’ve been thinking a lot about the space of the studio and how it becomes a place of improvisation, testing, and questions.  I am simultaneously making and unmaking in my constant rearrangement of objects and materials.  Through incorporating elements that have a range of my intervention at different states of completion in this installation, I’m looking to disrupt the illusion of the final polished artwork, leaving room for possibility.

The exhibition runs from March26th to March 29th, 2014.
