Exhibition: Diaphanous Embroidery @ 108 Contemporary

We finished up our week of installing at 108 Contemporary and here are more images from opening night! First Friday was amazing- thanks to everyone who came out!

Exhibition Statement:
Amanda McCavour’s ethereal environments explore themes of strength and vulnerability. Through the use of embroidery, McCavour’s delicate creations will highlight the process of building stability with a medium that also has the ability to unravel. These installations of accumulated pieces reflect the nature of the medium; a collection of stitches that create the strength within the individual pieces.

Opening: First Friday: August 3rd, 6-9pm

Workshop: August 4th, 9:30 am – 5pm, AhHa Tulsa
Artist Talk: August 4th, 1:30-3pm

Open Studio Hours: August 6th & August 7th, 12-5pm
